Family-owned for over 190 years, Springbank is the last distillery in Scotland to carry out the full production process on a single site—from traditional floor malting through to bottling. This hands-on approach yields a spirit of extraordinary complexity.
Founded in 1828 by the Mitchell family on the Kintyre peninsula, Springbank has survived the collapse of Campbeltown's once-mighty whisky industry. Where 34 distilleries once operated, only three remain. Springbank endures because its spirit is unmistakable—complex, oily, with a gentle smokiness from lightly peated malt.
The distillery has never been modernised for the sake of efficiency. Coal-fired stills, wooden washbacks, and traditional worm tub condensers produce a spirit that tastes like a piece of history.

Springbank's unique 2.5-times distillation (a partial triple distillation) creates layers of complexity rarely found in single malt. The spirit is lightly peated, giving a gentle smokiness that interweaves with maritime salt, citrus oil, and a distinctive oiliness on the palate.
The distillery produces three distinct styles under three different names: Springbank (lightly peated), Longrow (heavily peated), and Hazelburn (unpeated, triple-distilled). Each offers a wholly different experience from the same stills.
The core expression. A complex dram with pear, vanilla, citrus, and gentle maritime smoke. Matured in a mix of bourbon and sherry casks, it captures everything Springbank is about.
Extra maturation in 100% sherry casks adds rich dried fruit, dark chocolate, and warming spice. The smoke softens to a whisper, letting the sherry influence take centre stage.
The pinnacle of the range. Deep, layered, and profoundly complex—leather, tobacco, dark toffee, and an exquisite balance of smoke and sweetness that lingers for minutes.
